| I was in Aceh in December 2009 to do an assignment on the children in Aceh 5 years after the Tsunami. The story was more complex than the original brief, as the Tsunami is really only one aspect of tragedy in Aceh. The decades long conflict has left deep scars. My time was too short to do the story justice, but what struck me was how incredibly resilient some of these children were in the face of all they had experienced. |
